We’re all storytellers.
Most people don’t realize it, but we’re all retelling witnesses of the world that surrounds us. Every day, we pass by an inexhaustible source of inspiration. In the blink of an eye we capture images that tell stories, long and short, simple and complicated, fleeting and memorable. Some of us choose to express them. Others keep them tucked away in the vast recesses of their memories, an infinite library of snapshots and tales, interpreted and told differently by each individual’s unique point of view.
LensVerse is a terse story format, inspired by the unpretentiousness of a camera’s shutter speed and aperture, where in a split second an image is captured to forever remain unperturbed. It’s an exercise in breviloquence, where image and word aren’t mutually exclusive and depend entirely on each other. These are stories that are as true and certain as death itself, but which can easily be retold by anyone who lays eyes on the image.
So, in that sense, it also serves as a forum for those who feel inspired by the image, the text, or both, and wish to share their vision. We encourage you to comment and tell us your own version of the story, whether it’s a completely different one or a continuation of the original.
The world is waiting. What do you see?
